About Me

Hi, I'm Maxine.

I'm a Fashion Art Director and multidisciplinary creative from Vancouver, Canada, working across art direction, photography, visual merchandising, and creative strategy. After spending four years studying Fashion Art Direction at Polimoda in Florence, Italy, I've had the opportunity to work across Vancouver, Paris, Milan, and Florence, collaborating with brands, publications, and creative teams on projects spanning editorial, retail, and brand storytelling.

What interests me most isn't simply creating beautiful images, it's understanding why people connect with them. My work explores the relationship between design, function, culture, and identity, often using fashion as a way to tell broader stories about how we live, move, and interact with the world around us. Whether I'm producing an editorial, developing a visual merchandising concept, directing a photoshoot, or building a publication, I'm drawn to projects that begin with curiosity and end with meaningful experiences.

Recently, my work has focused on the intersection of technical performance and personal expression. My thesis project a book titled, The Style of Tools, examined the cultural significance of everyday technical objects, while my editorial Faux Altitude explored the importance of authentic outdoor equipment through the lens of fashion and visual storytelling. These projects reflect my belief that thoughtful design should always serve a purpose.

Outside of the studio, you'll usually find me skiing, teaching yoga, in the water, hiking, cooking, or travelling, experiences that continually shape the way I think about design, movement, and the environments we inhabit.

I'm always excited to collaborate on projects involving fashion, outdoor culture, design, the culinary world, and visual storytelling.
